Content standards
Asking other users for money, donations, or financial assistance is not allowed. This protects you from scams and fraud.

Sharing personal contact details early can be a safety risk. We encourage you to keep conversations on Owl Chat.

We never block these messages — someone may be reaching out for help. Messages are immediately reviewed and connected to crisis support resources.

Threats, violence, or harmful language toward others have no place here.
e.g. kill you, shoot, stab, bomb, attack, assault, kidnap, torture, hurt your family
Explicit content, unwanted advances, or suggestive requests are blocked immediately.
e.g. send nudes, sex chat, hookup tonight, explicit photos, onlyfans, escort
Protecting vulnerable users is our priority. Language suggesting secrecy, private meetings, or targeting minors is blocked immediately.
e.g. keep this secret, don't tell anyone, meet alone, underage, child photos, age doesn't matter
Discrimination, slurs, bullying, or hateful language targeting race, religion, gender, or identity is not tolerated.
e.g. racist slurs, homophobic slurs, go kill yourself, nobody likes you, you're disgusting
False health advice can be dangerous. Claims about cures or treatments, or discouraging medical care, are flagged for review.

Discussing or promoting illegal goods, services, or actions is blocked.
e.g. buy drugs, cocaine, fake passport, hacking, stolen credit cards, bomb making
Commercial spam, misleading offers, and repetitive advertising are blocked to keep conversations useful.

Links or messages designed to steal your information or money are blocked immediately.
e.g. verify your account, claim your prize, lottery winner, inheritance, tax refund, IRS
Claiming to be a verified professional without verified status is flagged to protect users from misinformation.
e.g. I am a doctor, licensed therapist, psychiatrist, attorney, police officer
Posting sensitive personal or financial data puts everyone at risk and is flagged automatically.
e.g. home address, SSN, passport number, credit card, CVV, routing number, OTP
Automated spam, bot accounts, and attempts to evade restrictions are blocked.
